Up for sale today is an M. 2 NVMe SSD Active Bifurcator PCIe Card. This PCIe cards purpose is to add 4 more NVMe slots to your motherboard, dedicating 4 PCIe lanes to each NVMe SSD. This card handles the bifurcation by itself, in otherwords it is an active bifurcation card (using the ASM 2824 to handle the processing). Your motherboard does not need to support PCIe bifurcation, this card does it for you. Please note, this card requires an external SATA power connection to function. This is not a hardware RAID card, by default each drive will show up in Windows. You can then configure software raid through the method of your chosing. This is a low profile quad NVMe card, one of the only on the market as far as I’m aware. All accessories, including the low profile bracket, are included!
